Create

Notes can be created for parts, assemblies, drawings, documents and chapters.

In the dialog 'Additional information' click on Notes, + New.

Visibility
The visibility can only be selected if the catalog author has made a distinction between private and public notes.

Private
The notes are only visible to the user who created them.

If you create private notes and delete the cookies, you can no longer see your previous, private notes.

Public
The notes are visible to all users, who can request the catalog.

Category
A category can be chosen if defined by the catalog author.

Title
Enter the title of the note.

Type

Notes in the parts catalog

    • Parts list position
      The note appears only on this item within the current assembly.
    • Material
      The note appears on all items with the same part/order number, regardless of the installation location.

Notes in the documentation

    • Document
      The note always appears at this document, independent of the chapter.
    • Chapter
      The note only applies to the document in the current chapter.

Attachments
can be attached to the note using Drag&Drop or via Add file.

Note text
The lower window section in the 'Notes' dialog is available for entering the note text.

The note is assigned to the element from the catalog.
